I first started off thinking of ideas I could use for my project. Then I watched videos to help me learn how to use certain blocks and functions. When I encountered a problem I tried to use different blocks to help me with what ever I was doing. I had trouble with broadcast and receive. I also had trouble with the leves, making it switch and do something els. I would always go and test what I did before I went onto something new. This project was fun and cool to do.  

Final project purpose of the game

My game takes place in the sky with a airplanes. You control one of the planes and goal is to get to the other side with out hitting any other plane. If you hit a plane you loose and get sent back. If you hit the water you loose and you also get sent back.So you have to make it to the other side without hitting into water or other planes. If you get to the end you go to the next level. Use the arrow keys to move around. You get 5 points for every level you complete. 

Scenes reflection

The stage has something in common with the sprite because the sprite connects with stage to create a story or to set a scene. You initialize sprites in a scene by using a block that tells the sprite to change when the background changes. Other types of projects that would use scene changes can be movies,TV, and stage shows. Devin uses backdrops to scare one of his other sprites. So he uses it for effects with the characters.  .

These five debug it activity's were easy to do and did not take a long time to figure out. My favorite one was the Debug-It 2.5 because it took a little longer to figure out but it was cool when done. One strategy I used was to first look at the blocks you were already given and try to fix it using those, then add things that need to be added. If I was helping someone debug a project I would tell them do a lot of trial and error to figure it out.

Make a Block Reflection

The make a block project on scratch was easy and fun to do. I liked how you could get it so one block could hold scripts. This is good because now you can be more organized and not have a ton of scripts in your way.This is a feature i would use when I have a lot of script and not a ton of room. I will use this in future projects to help me.

Debug It Reflection

These 5 Debug It activity's were pretty easy to figure out how to solve. The hardest one was probably number 4 I had a hard time trying to get that one to work. I think these were cool activity's to get your mind thinking. If I had to give a strategy I would say first look at the blocks they give you and try to make it work with those.These 5 Debug It activity's use problem solving skills and take a little bit of experimenting.

Scratch reflection 2

The 10 block challenge was a cool activity to work on. It helps you learn how to create a story with only a certain amount of actions. I learned that Scratch can be used in many different ways to create a story of a cool activity. The activity made me had to restrain from using certain functions to create what
I wanted to make. This activity really gets you thinking about what to use and how to use the certain functions you are given

Scratch 1 Reflection

This scratch activity we did was cool I found it interesting how you could use the different commands to make the sprite do different movements or say different things.Being showed step by step how to use it was a good way to learn how to use basics of Scratch. Its good to have structure when learning how to used Scratch but it is also good to be able to play around with it and see what you can do and not do.Having freedom to go and play with scratch is good but you still need a structure in the beginning so you know what you are doing.

Webpage design

Using HTML to create a website was a really cool thing to learn. While using it I ran into 3 problems like when I was trying to make my pictures all align in one row. I couldn't figure out how to do it also I tried to change font sixes and it wouldn't let me do that either. The last problem was when I tried to change font colors and it wouldn't let me sometimes.There were 2 successful things that I could do one was make headings and put them where I want them. Another was make paragraphs to go with the headings.These functions I could do with no problem. My favorite aspect of this was learning how to do simple coding like this I thought it was fun and cool.
